i-Ready Online Education Learning Course Catalogue

These 10 digital courses teach product features, suggest implementation best practices, and share ways educators across the country use Curriculum Associates products in their classrooms.

Up to 5.5 Clock Hours can be applied for from a Valley School District participant at no additional cost. The 5.5 Clock Hours includes i-Ready Survey and District Evaluation time. The 5.5 Clock Hours can be repeated for a subsequent year as there will be revisions to the courses by i-Ready. Participants can only claim a total of 11 total clock hours over two years for these courses. 

Once you have completed each course, complete the survey for your completion certificate. All completion certificates need to accompany your Valley School Distirct application for Clock Hours.

    DESCRIPTION:  Use the diagnostic to get accurate and reliable data so you can personalize each student's learning experience to their needs. Get organized, energize students, and check completion to get the assessment data you need.

    • How to prepare and motivate students to take the Diagnostic
    • How to use data to track completion

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - Before school starts

    DESCRIPTION:  In this course, you will learn how the Prerequisites Report offers insight into your students’ learning needs in relation to upcoming grade-level mathematics by identifying essential prerequisite skills, potential student groupings, and recommended resources to be used during classroom instruction. You will use a Data Reflection Worksheet to analyze data from your own Prerequisites Report and make a plan for how you will address student needs for upcoming grade-level instruction.

    LEARN:

    • How to read and interpret a Prerequisites Report.
    • How to use the Prerequisites Report to identify students' learning needs for an upcoming unit of instruction.
    • How to use the resources included in the Prerequisites Report to plan instruction and support all learners.

    DESCRIPTION:  Create an actionable plan for setting up small group differentiated instruction in your classroom, including a schedule, classroom layout, and strategy for implementing routines and procedures. You can use this plan as the basis for small group differentiated instruction throughout the year.

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - Before school starts

    DESCRIPTION:  Ready Mathematics is a blended learning program designed to help students understand important mathematical concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and apply their knowledge. In this course, you’ll explore the main program components and take a peek inside a real classroom so you can begin to prepare to use Ready Mathematics with your students.

    LEARN: 

    • How to use Ready Mathematics materials and resources
    • How to use the included digital resources as a complement to classroom work
    • What the Think-Share-Compare instructional routine looks like in practice
  • DURATION:  45 minutes

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - Beginning of the school year

    DESCRIPTION:  See how Personalized Instruction works and get a sneak peek inside the student experience. You’ll learn best practices for managing Personalized Instruction so you can prepare students and actively respond to their needs, as well as next steps to effectively maximize students’ potential for learning.

    LEARN: 

    • How i-Ready lessons are personalized to individual students
    • How to support students as they work through lessons
    • How to monitor student progress through Personalized Instruction
  • DURATION:  20 minutes

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - mid year

    DESCRIPTION:  Use data from the second Diagnostic to evaluate how students in your district and school are progressing toward their growth measures and grade-level proficiency. You'll reflect on the effectiveness of your current programming and consider what changes may need to be made.

    • Facilitating data chats with teachers

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - mid year

    DESCRIPTION:  This course prepares you to use i-Ready data to inform your instructional planning and better meet the needs of your students. You will analyze Diagnostic Results and Diagnostic Growth reports for a class and a student and plan instructional next steps.

    LEARN:  

    • Use Diagnostic data to determine student needs
    • Review personalized lesson paths
    • Differentiate instruction based on student needs
  • DURATION:  20 minutes

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - mid year

    DESCRIPTION:  This course prepares you to use data from the Diagnostic Growth (Class) and (Student) reports to collaborate with students and engage them in their own learning. You'll be able to determine how your students are growing throughout the year. This course will discuss how to best use iReady report data to conduct data chats, set goals, and celebrate growth with students.

    DESCRIPTION:  Use data chats to help students identify strengths, areas for growth, goals, and specific actions they can take. Conducting data chats is a strategy that can deepen your classroom data culture by empowering students to feel ownership of their learning and get excited about their progress and growth.

    • What action steps to take to follow up on a data chat

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Teachers and Paraeducators - anytime

    DESCRIPTION:  Build on your plans for small group instruction by designing activities for students to complete collaboratively or independently during station rotations. By the end of this course, you’ll have a lesson plan that includes learning activities for one small group and a model for evaluating and modifying small group instruction for future lessons.
